I was born in Washington State. I have over 20 years experience as a maintenance manager. I currently Maintenance Manager for concessions at the Petrified Forest National Park. I have a very strong work ethic, and would consider it an honor and privilege to represent the citizens of LD6.
I have always had an interest in politics. In 1988 I attended the Republican National Convention in Tacoma Washington.
I have raised a family. I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
In 2011, my wife and I relocated to Arizona. The warmer climate drew us here and we were happy to live in a more Conservative political climate.
In 2020, after the debacle that was called an election, I knew I had to get involved again. In 2022, my wife and I both became involved with the Navajo County Republican Committee by becoming precinct committeeman. I noticed there is no real representation for the citizens in LD6. After much prayer and advice, I decided it was time to step up to the plate.
I would like to bring trade schools to this region. We need to give people the tools so the people could build stronger communities.
I have always valued life and believe that life begins at conception. I am a pro life/pro family candidate that is committed to doing what it takes to protect our families.
I believe small business is the backbone of America. We need to support and strengthen small business in our communities.
I am a strong advocate for the 2nd amendment.
Most importantly, I need prayer for my campaign. Donations & signatures are necessary for any election but I would never want to go through anything this serious without a lot of prayer.
I am not a politician, I am a Statesman.
A "statesman" and a "politician" are both individuals involved in public affairs, but they are often distinguished by their motivations and perceived impact. A statesman is generally viewed as someone who prioritizes the long-term well-being and interests of their nation or community, often acting with integrity and statesmanship. In contrast, a politician is often perceived as someone primarily driven by personal ambition, electoral success, or party interests, potentially at the expense of broader public good.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Statesman:
Focus: Long-term public good, national interests, and ethical principles.
Actions: Guided by a sense of responsibility, integrity, and a desire to leave a positive legacy.
Perception: Often viewed with respect and admiration for their wisdom and leadership.
Example: Figures like George Washington are often cited as examples of statesmen.
Politician:
Focus:
Electoral success, party loyalty, and personal advancement.
Actions:
May prioritize short-term gains, compromise on principles for political expediency, or engage in tactics that are seen as self-serving.
Perception:
Can be viewed with skepticism or distrust, particularly if their actions are perceived as opportunistic or self-serving.
Example:
Many elected officials, regardless of their actual impact, are labeled as politicians due to their role.
In essence, while both statesmen and politicians operate within the same sphere of public life, the distinction lies in their motivations, priorities, and the perceived impact of their actions.
